Windows

For Windows PCs

  1. Run XPCompass-Setup.exe. If Windows says Windows protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  2. Choose Install. It installs for your Windows account, with no administrator prompt, and adds XPCompass to the Start menu.
  3. The app opens, finds your game folder and installs the addons. It stays in the tray and keeps them, and itself, up to date.

Mac

For Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or newer)

  1. Open XPCompass-Mac.zip (Safari does this for you) and drag XPCompass into Applications.
  2. Open it. The first time, macOS says it can't check the app: click Done, open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway beside XPCompass.
  3. The app finds your game folder and installs the addons, and keeps them up to date.
